Just like the other Visegrad countries, Czechia has experienced culture wars over abortion,
minority rights and feminism. Although Czech predisposition to national-populist politics is limited, Czechia could not avoid a progressive culturalisation of politics and the illiberal turn. In times of crisis, Czech debates have repeatedly sunken into symbolic disputes and restricted the capacity to solve existential challenges.
